About Me

السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَ رَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُُ‎

Bismihi Ta’ala

Esteemed Reader!

All Praise is due to ALLAH TA’ALA, the All Beautiful; Gentle, Delicate (اللطيف) and Loving (الودود). Salaat and Salaam upon the Beloved of ALLAH Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) eternally.

This blog is a platform for me for the pleasure of Almighty ALLAH to share articles and reflect on any poignant and interesting quotes, poetry, stories which I come across and find inspiring; all of which shall be reminders for us all (myself first and foremost!), and a means to enlighten a soul to the beauty of Islam–bringing solace, comfort and joy to our hearts.

If after reading you feel that it has made a difference in your life, Al-Hamdulillah! You should thank ALLAH because it is ultimately ALLAH TA’ALA in HIS infinite Mercy that guides and changes the conditions of the hearts!!!

I can recall from a book of Hadhrat Maulana Yunus Patel (Rahmatullahi Alaih), a beautiful analogy put so aptly.

“Gather ye rosebuds while ye may,
Old time is still a-flying:
And this same flower that smiles today
Tomorrow will be dying.”

The lesson to glean from these verses is that whilst we have life and are granted opportunities, we should accumulate as many ‘roses’ of virtues, kindnesses and good Deeds. Time and tide wait for no man. Time is moving extremely fast and death is inevitable. Today the flower blossoms; tomorrow that same flower wilts. Today we experience life and tomorrow we meet death. There may not even be a tomorrow. … Tomorrow is really too much of a hope to even entertain, because death cuts even that blooming flower, before it can wilt.

Reality is:

كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ

[Surah Ar-Rahmaan 55 : 26]

…so beautifully said:

‘Through this toilsome world …
Alas, once and only once I pass;
If a kindness I may show,
If a good Deed I may do
To a suffering fellow man,
Let me do it while I can.
No delay; for it is plain,
I shall not pass this way again.’

“Strange is the visa of life, it can be cancelled at any time. The duration of its validity is unknown and its extension too is impossible.” Hadhrat Maulana Hakeem Akhtar Saheb (Rahmatullahi Alaih)

May Almighty ALLAH guide us all in our individual and collective quests for Jannat-ul-Firdous,
آمِيْن يَارَبَّ الْعَالَمِينْ
